Rota, Spain is a locality with a population of 30,000 inhabitants that is located in the Cadiz Province of Andalusia, on the Atlantic Ocean, and borders with localities such as Puerto de Santa Maria, Chipiona and San Lucar de Barrameda as well as the Atlantic ocean waters that drift into the Bay of Cadiz.

Rota is a tourist city, even if the american naval station and fishing are also two main income sources. It´s origins as a city date back to the tartessos, when it´s name was Astaroth or Puerto de Asta (Mast port).

It is a city that is very accessible. You can reach Cadiz by boat, and Puerto de Santa Maria and Jerez have their train station.

Rota is windsurf, golf, culture, extensive golden sand beaches, as well as a city of apartments and hotels where you can stay while on vacation.
