Rota Spain is a locality with a population of 30,000 inhabitants that is located in the Cadiz Province of Andalusia, on the Atlantic Ocean, and borders with localities such as Puerto de Santa Maria, Chipiona and San Lucar de Barrameda as well as the Atlantic ocean waters that drift into the Bay of Cadiz.
Rota Spain is a tourist city, even if the american naval station and fishing are also two main income sources. It's origins as a city date back to the tartessos, when it's name was Astaroth or Puerto de Asta (Mast port).
It is a city that is very accessible. You can reach Cadiz by boat, and Puerto de Santa Maria and Jerez have their train station.
Rota is windsurf, golf, culture, extensive golden sand beaches, as well as a city of apartments and hotels where you can stay while on vacation. Costaballena an urbanization belonging to Rota also has a wide variety of things to offer the growing tourism demand. It is a perfect place for your holidays!
Rota is an enchanting city off the coast of Cadis. Every municipality from Tarifa to San Lucar de Barrameda has marvelous qualities in which we discover millineum old fishing arts such as the Corrales. You'll see relics from the past such as the Castillo de Luna (castle of the moon), monuments, as well and sand dunes and pine forests in which you can spend the day in this beautiful natural environment.
Rota is many things. It's gastronomy is based on Fish, and fresh vegetables. It has a beautiful marina and offers aquatic sport activities, nature walks along the Natural Park of La Almadraba or it's sand dunes and pine forests.
