The corrales were built by the romans as a way to fish. They are built on the shore by rock walls that are divided in sections, and are only visible during low tide. This art was exploited up until the 20th century.
These corrales are found in Rota and Chipiona amongst other localities, and in their interiors even today, you can find important species of flora and fauna, besides bringing different species of sea birds that come here to feed.
