Rota has half a dozen beaches in which we find many common denominators...golden sands, and clean waters as well as moderate waves are all characteristics of Rota.
From north to south we will start with Ballena Beach (whale) which is next to the urbanization of Costa Ballena, a semi-urban beach with numerous services. From there we hop to the Beach of Aguadulce (sweet/fresh water), Punta Candor, or Pierdas Gordas that are located between Rota and the urbanization of Costa Ballena. Each of them are of an isolated nature, and have golden sands and an enchanting quality.
On the other hand, Costilla beach in Rota is the most important of this municipality as well as El Rompidillo beach which is the most desired spot by riders who want to windsurf or kitesurf.
To sum it all up, Rota is an ideal spot to enjoy your holidays. It has urban and isolated beaches, beaches with abundant vegetation, and beaches where you can enjoy your favorite water sports such as windsurfing and kitesurfing.
Do not forget that during beach season from June to September, activities such as windsurfing and kitesurfing are limited to only certain areas, for which we recommend that you are informed of where those places are before you start setting up your equipment.
